I received this book as an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review, as you have seen in the past, here goes...
I give this book 4.5 stars...
I found the life of this young lady very interesting. I actually ended up feeling sorry for her for everything she had to go through. It is unfortunate when a life of crime catches up to you and your family suffers because of it!
Who would have thought that she would ultimately fall in love with her arresting officer? Who would have thought that it took her father being locked away for life, for her to realize that although love helps us to hide all the bad in people, it still remains?
I found myself being extremely nervous for Gia. She was blind to see faults in her close loved ones, leaving her vulnerable, but strong in defending herself against "haters".
The missing 1/2 star would be based on the rambling I felt the author did a lot of the time. It seemed as if words were spit onto the page in spots and I had trouble keeping up with what was going on. But the story was wonderful! I enjoyed its fast pace I am a sucker for books that have a happy ending!
